House rules
Short and direct, not legalese. Every account agrees to this before it's created. Most new listings are reviewed by a human before they go live — these are the rules they're checking against, and the reasons a listing gets rejected, suspended, or removed.
Post honestly
Required- Only real, true listings. An artist, studio, or event profile has to describe an actual person, place, or thing — no fake listings, no impersonating someone else, no misleading claims about who you are, where you are, or what you do.
- Portfolio work has to be genuine. Post your own tattoos and designs, or work you have clear rights to post — not images taken from someone else's portfolio and passed off as your own.
- No filters. Photos need to show what the work actually looks like — skip beauty filters, heavy color grading, or retouching that changes the real skin tone, linework, or healing state. Normal phone-camera lighting/cropping is fine; anything that makes the work look better than it really is, isn't.
What's never allowed
Zero tolerance- Harassment, targeting, or hate. No content directed at harassing, threatening, or demeaning a specific person or group.
- Hate symbols and extremist imagery. No Nazi, white-power, or other hate-group symbols — including ones re-skinned as "tribal" or "traditional" designs to slip past review. This applies to flash, portfolio photos, and profile text alike.
- Illegal content or activity. Nothing that depicts, promotes, or facilitates anything illegal.
- Sexually explicit content. Tasteful nudity that's incidental to showing tattoo work is fine; content that's explicit or sexual in intent is not.
What happens if you don't follow these
Enforcement- Before anything goes live: a moderator reviews every new artist, studio, and meaningful edit. Something that doesn't belong gets rejected with a reason, and you can edit and resubmit. New events from an account that already has an approved listing publish immediately instead of waiting in the queue — still subject to every rule on this page, and still removable if reported.
- After it's live: anyone can report a listing or a single photo. A moderator reviews the report and can suspend a listing (hidden until resolved) or remove a specific image outright.
- Studio addresses need to stay accurate. If 3 or more people report a studio as having the wrong address or no longer existing there, the owner gets 7 days to confirm it with one click before it's automatically unlisted — they can always confirm later to relist it, and a moderator can send a reminder or unlist it sooner if it's clearly gone.
- Serious or repeated violations — hate symbols, harassment, clearly fake listings — get a listing permanently removed, which only an admin can do, and can end with the account itself being removed.
Accounts are anonymous — meet safely
Read this- We don't verify identity. Accounts here have no email or ID behind them by design. Moderation checks that a listing looks real and follows these rules — it is not a background check, and we can't guarantee the person you contact is actually who or what they claim to be.
- Before meeting anyone in a private location (a home studio, an address that isn't a public business), think it through first: tell a trusted person where you're going and share the exact address with them beforehand, meet in public first if you can, and trust your gut — if something feels off, it's always fine to not go.
None of this is about being heavy-handed — it's the minimum for a directory people can actually trust. If you're ever unsure whether something crosses a line, it's fine to leave it out.
